Silly String

Ciao tutti!!!

Ahh so this week has been crazy!!! I think my comp and i are getting a little bored of the MTC. haha So this week we were cleaning toilets (like we do every tuesday morning) and we found 8 cans of silly string. So we were super excited, and try to finish a bit early. We ran up to our room and dress up like ninjas (my comp has this black turtle neck she found that is a size 2x, so its huge on her. She kind of looks like Voldemort when she wears it) Then we hide in the spare closets in our room with two cans of silly string each! The other sisters in our room took forever!! We were sitting in the closets waiting for what felt like ten minutes. Then it was super funny, I suddenly heard a bunch of coat hangers fall. My companion bumped her head on them. Then she started laughing and then she tooted.... hahah! It reminded me of Nicole! So then we keep waiting and finally the sisters walk in and we attack. So one sisters hands fly up in the air and she sprints out of the room! She said she thought we were murders. Then the other girls just sat there as we silly sprayed them. haha It was AWESOME! However, suddenly Sorella Rossell is sitting on the floor, rocking and laughing, and she says "guys, I just peed my pants!" and she stands up and there it was, a pee mark on the ground! hahahahahah!! so she had to wrap her voldemort shirt around her waste and she ran to the bathroom! funniest thing EVER!!

So we were reading the MTC handbook the other day and it said that we needed to be grateful for the food here because its going to be a lot better then the food we will be eating for the next two years. My district all looks up and we all were like.... well obviously the person who wrote this didn't go to Italy haha!

Did you guys know they are making a whole new MTC campus in Provo! Right now we have 3,500 and the new campus will hold 1,500, but in June their will be 8,000! I don't know where the other 3,000 are going to go... there are so many new missionarys, its crazy!!

We were talking about how the times are just getting worse and worse. Someone said that maybe the reason there are so many sister missionaries right now is because by the time we have kids, our kids will need to have two parents who have been on missions. I thought that was kind of interesting..
The language is getting harder and harder! I'm going to be speaking throw up Italian when i get there i really hope people will understand me!

Oh yeah, the other day we are walking to our room to get ready for bed and suddenly my comp goes Ninja on me and started karate chopping me. HAHA. At this point we were right next to our room, so i just hit her with my hip and she went flying. Then I ran into our room and locked her out. Tt was hilarious! She was sitting outside and was saying "I'm sorry Sorella Felice, I love you please let me in" over and over! So i finally let her in. I love that girl!

I've been super tired this week because I've stayed up late talking to some of the sisters that are having a hard time. That is one of the responsibility's of being the Sisters Zone Leader. One of our Sisters almost went home this week and so I didn't go to bed until almost midnight. She is doing a lot better though, so I'm super happy! You know how once one thing is better, something else starts to get worse though. Oh well we are almost done with the MTC only a couple more days!

Anyway i love you guys so much and miss you like crazy!!!
Vi voglio bene!!!! LOVE SORELLA FELICE!
P.S. I GO TO ITALY THIS WEEK!!! WAHOOOOOO

She got her photobook FINALLY! She was so excited one of her eyes crossed!

A sister in Paula's district loves doing hair. I can only imagine how fun Paula's hair is to do. She has tons!!

NO TOUCHY!

Ciao tutti!

So this week has been pretty great! On Sunday's during Relief Society we usually get a guest speaker. This Sunday it was Mary Edmunds. She was on the General Relief Society board and she has been on four missions and she was super old and so funny! It was like an emotional roller coaster listening to her because we would all be laughing and then like 20 seconds later we would all be crying because the spirit was so strong! She told us to not touch the elders, no high fives, no fake punching them... don't touch their arms. Then she said "however, keep a list of those you want to touch. Everyone was dying! She was just this crazy lady! After she said "when you get home from your mission, look all nice, go to your reunion and then...... touch." haha! Ten seconds later she was in tears talking about how her missions have blessed her life so much. It was hilarious she also told us that so many babies are born in one day. It takes us a year to baptize the same number of babies born in a day. Then she paused and said "we need to beat the babies!!" she was literally crazy! HA

On Tuesdays we have devotionals and usually one of the Seventy come. So we are waiting in line to get into the devotional and there was BYU police there (haha byu police, what a joke). They were telling us no pictures, no cameras.. blah blah blah, So Sorella Rossell and I just look at each other and both say "its someone big tonight" so we get seated (we ran cause we knew it would be good... we got the fourth row right dab in the middle) and they start the prelude music and then everyone stands up and it was ELDER RICHARD G SCOTT!! Then guess what we got to sing for the opening song..... again...yep called to serve (we sang it four times this week at our meetings )! So exciting though. He talked about prayer and he talked about how for the guys it was a priesthood responsibility to serve a mission but for the girls it was a choice and a sacrifice, which was really cool! Then at the end it was so cool... he stopped talking for like two minutes (it was forever) and he told us he felt like he needed to give all of us learning a language an apostolic blessing that we would not only learn it but master it! I was bawling because I had had a super rough day with the language and I was praying like crazy for help. Then he said that, and it was so cool because we were so close! He was looking right at us! ahh I love him!!

Oh yeah also on Sunday they called me to be the Sister Training Leader. It's like Coordinating Sister (they just changed the name) So basically its like I'm the zone leader but for all the sisters. So I take care of about thirty Sisters in my zone. I just visit them every night and talk about if they have any problems. So that's kind of interesting.

Some funny things ive learned about Italy! I guess they love to laugh (i mean who doesn't, but with Italians even more so. They just laugh everywhere they go and everything they see). So they told us that we need to learn how to laugh and have fun and to not be the perfect missionary. God sent you because he needs you, not a robot. Also they told us the best way to get into a house is to use your nose! Smell out the houses where someone is making food, knock on their door and say "wow it smells so good in here what are you making" and then BAM... before you know it you're learning how to cook, and they are learning the gospel. hahaha. They also said that the Catholics are getting easier to convert. The only ones that are going to church are the kids (for their Communion) and the older people (just in case) hahaha. I thought that one was funny!

Oh yeah, so this one guy came to talk on Sunday night at the devotional. He was in charge of advertising for the church. He said they do these things called invasions, where they just buy out all the advertising space in a certain place. For example, at Christmas they did Times Square. They had over ten advertisements just in Times Square alone for the church. It said like "Christmas is family, Christmas is love, Christmas is Christ, Mormon.org". He showed us this picture of a sign an atheist group bought for advertisement right next to ours. and it said "keep the merry dump the myth". It was surrounded by huge posters of Mormon.org. So he was like "yep we definitely dominated the atheists" hahaha. they also did England and bought out ten subway stations and over 250 double Decker's. Awesome! haha

ok well i have to go, I love you all like crazy and miss you!! i cant wait to get the photo book!! vi voglio bene!!!
Love Sorella Felice!!

You know the food is bad at the MTC when they take pictures of the wrappers from treats they ate!

Paula did not take any pictures last week so these are from her companions SD card. Probably why they are mostly of Sister Rossel.

Paula said she really loves this painting she found at the MTC

Conference and More

CIAO TUTTI!!!

This week was pretty uneventful but General Conference was super fun. I loved every minute of it!!!!! During a talk about temples, they showed a picture of a temple.  Guess what? It was the Rome Temple! My whole zone was sitting together and you could hear us all gasp because we were trying to keep quiet. It was our temple though!! It's so weird to be learning a language. During conference I kept translating what they were saying into Italian. It was pretty weird. Also they let us watch the "Mighty Band of Youth between conference on Sunday because they had filmed the choir. So we stayed to watch it and I had totally forgot about that interview from Olympus. They showed us walking into the building and I was shocked they aired the interviews. Then they went on to Sister Dalton. I was all happy cause i got to see Olympus and all my friends. It was great and then like BAM, there was my face on the screen. I just froze and my companion was like "oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, my companion is famous"!! It was pretty funny and shocking! Everyone kept coming up to me after and were saying "oh you were that girl on the clip between conference" haha.

There are TANTO (a ton) of kids from Olympus here!! Just in my zone there are four that are from Olympus. It's so weird! Anziano Johnson and I tried to count all the Olympus kids here and there was more than 15, it's crazy!!

Oh yeah, it was hilarious... Neil L Anderson was talking about the MTC for a while in his talk and he said "It's a bit over-crowed there right now" the whole room just started to laugh... HA. There were almost 4,000 missionaries in that room and some missionaries in over flow rooms and he was talking about how the MTC was "a little overcrowded"!! We got two more girls in our room this week, so now we have six girls. We were pretty lucky though, every room on our floor had six girls except us! They are super cute! They are going to Washington. I told them that my brother was serving there right now! They were all very interested in learning about the mission and the work Wesley is doing there! Did you guys hear the talk where he told a story about "Bruce"? He was one that always super happy, and one day the weather was really bad. It was early in the morning and he was singing "Oh What a Beautiful Morning". It totally reminded me of Mom singing that when she would walk me to school in the mornings. She always did it to embarrass me, but I thought it was so funny! I told my companion that and she said that her Mom would sing it every morning too... haha! We obviously have the same Mom!!!

I got a ton of pictures this week so thanks everyone who sent them to me! they are hanging up all over my room! Oh yeah, where did Hannah Ryting get her call to? I heard she got it this week!

OK, funny story! So we have devotionals Sundays and Tuesdays. All these cool people come and talk to us. However, this is like the most annoying thing ever. Every opening song we sing during devotionals is "Called To Serve"! Every single time we have to sing that song. I'm pretty sure its because every visitor who comes here wants to hear us sing it, but its getting so annoying!!!! I really liked that song before the MTC, but now we just sing it way too much. I even have it memorized in Italian. I don't think Ive gone one day without having to sing it!

I missed having a girls night out on Saturday during priesthood :( All i could think of was going out with all my Sisters and my Mom! We watched the Young Women broadcast which was pretty good! This little beehive gave the opening prayer and you could tell she was terrified.. I felt really bad, but it was kind of funny. She was like screaming into the mic! haha. The YW Conference was great though. Sister Dalton's talk was AMAZING!  I cried all the way through it!

K well i have to go because i don't have anytime left but i love you all so much and miss you like crazy!!!!

Vi voglio bene!! Love Sorella Felice

editors note

IN CASE YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE PINK PANTHER REFERENCE NOTED IN THE LAST EMAIL... I ADDED THE VIDEO AT THE END OF THE LAST POST. IT IS HILARIOUS AND I WOULD ADVISE ALL TO WATCH IT.

I can't (but will) figure out how to turn the pictures. But until then you had to see this last picture. The note says "this way the ministry of magic". They found this while cleaning toilets one day!! Paula said she almost died laughing. It made her life complete!

She can still make us laugh... even in a letter home!

Buona Pasqua tutti!!!

This week was super fun! and thanks to my companion this will probably be a better letter than last week! She told me to write down things i want to mention in my letter in my notebook throughout the week so then i wont forget! she is a clever one!!!

Easter was super cool! we woke up to go stand in line for the devotional. there is 3,400 missionaries standing outside at seven thirty in the morning. The sun is coming over the mountain and we are all singing "I Know That my Redeemer Lives"! it was so amazing and then we all took the sacrament together! It took forever. Then the presiding bishop came and talked to us and later that night Sheri dew came. She was AMAZING!! We then had movie night. We watched "Character of Christ" it was soooo amazing!!! It was a life changing talk! It was by Elder Bednar and it was a talk he gave at a devotional in the MTC. They play it every Sunday night because its so amazing! I cried all the way through it!! It was hard not being with the family on Easter but it was the best Easter i have ever had!!

For some reason every morning during breakfast I think of the waffle house in Virginia and I just start laughing.. haha. I crave the waffle house all the time because the food here is definitely not the best. Guess what?? The MTC right now has 3,400 missionaries. We can't even fit in the main building for devotionals, but in June they are going to have over 8,000!!!! isn't that CRAZY!!!

We were leaving a devotional on Tuesday night and I looked at my comp and I said "puzzo di fede!" anyway I was trying to say "it stinks like feet" but i actually said "it smell like faith" haha. It was pretty funny! Good Friday was awesome everyone got packages from their parents so we all just had a feast.. haha. It was awesome!!!!!

So everyone in my district is teaching different investigators and the investigators names are Paola and Christine... so I always think someone is saying my name. Everyone always talks about Paola and Christine haha! Our teacher fratello cena is so amazing he is the best teacher! It's really funny when he speaks English because he has an Italian accent so he says like knogible and cathgories and he is just soooo funny!!

We were in class the other day and none of us could pronounce pomeriggio right and so our teacher would say it, then we would and then he would be like "no" and "repeat it" and i felt like the inspector on Pink Panther when he is trying to say "i would like to buy a hamburger!" sooo hilarious!!!!

Oh yeah, this is hilarious every night this group of girls takes showers and they have like a shower choir! It's crazy. They all harmonize and stuff and I think it might be harder to get into the shower choir then to get into the real choir. Its hilarious, but they are REALLY good!!!

I found the perfect description of the MTC. It's like taking a drink from the drinking fountain but getting sprayed in the face with a fire hydrant hose instead!! haha

Anyway, I miss you guys so much! You are the best!!! I have to go cause I'm over time but i love you!!

Love Sorella Felice

And incase you have not seen the Pink Panther and don't understand her reference

EASTER IN THE MTC
