Ciao tutti!!
So the MTC is amazing i love it so much i feel like I've been here for like a year though!! Ive learned so much already and i really love everyone here! The Italian is going well one of our teachers told us that she was shocked at how much we knew already she said that we are as fluent as the last wave of Italian missionaries at six weeks so that kind of gives me hope because it definitely doesn't feel like we can speak Italian! sorry if a lot of words are spelled wrong I only have thirty minutes to read all of these emails and then write one and add pictures to it! So my companion is awesome we are exactly alike she grew up in LA and she gave up the harp to come on a mission and she was super good at it and getting a music major! she has a huge family and she loves everyone she is a great example to me of how to treat others!
So the food is pretty interesting its definitely not good but you get so hungry! however some nights they have like dominoes pizza and they have great salads and wraps but the chicken is really sketchy so i try to avoid the meat!! umm what else gym is pretty fun its nice to be able to work out when you have been sitting all day (we get gym everyday for 50 minutes) i usually will go and run on the track and run 20 laps which is 2 miles and then i go stretch for the rest of the time but them some days i get lazy and just play volleyball the whole time haha however my serve has been getting really good! My district is pretty awesome we have six sorelle and four anziane (sisters and elders) three of the anziane are going to milano one is going to roma and then all the sorelle are going to roma! So we were told that the temple would be dedicated while we are there so I'm SO SO SO excited about that!! also this one sister came up to us the other day and she was freaking out that we were going to Italy and she told us to go to st peters and look at the statue of peter holding the keys of the priesthood and just stand their and think about that peter is buried in that church and to think of what a great apostle he was and to realize how great your mission is! anyway i just got chills when she told us that! I'm SUPER excited to get over their and to start teaching!! Ive been told several times that Italy is ready to hear the gospel! the Italians call the lds temple their temple even if they aren't lds and they are super excited to hear what it is!
Umm I'm really sorry i really don't have that much time so this letter is so scattered!! Im just having a great time and i know this is where I'm supposed to be! the best is that all the missionaries going to Rome are SO LOUD! like we are probably the most annoying group! i think that the people going to milano think that we are all really weird but if you think about it we all kind of already act like we are Italian haha also we always sing which is great! umm my teacher fratello ceno is from Italy and lived their till i think he was 15 and then moved to madrid spain so its really good that he is our teacher cause all the other districts have an american teacher and those teachers said that we are really lucky because not only are we learning the language but we are learning how italians speak the language if that makes sense. I'm so lucky that i got him as a teacher because he really is so great except for the fact that he wont speak English at all! so i guess that is also a blessing because we (as a district) are learning so much faster even if at times what he says go right over are heads!
so for the language I'm starting to understand most everything fratello ceno says plus my whole district can pray in italiano we know "our purpose" on italiano and we can all bear our testimonianza in italiano! we are learning so much and i really know that its because of the spirit and our heavenly father helping us! umm I'm just going to bear my testimony really fast!
anyway i love you guys so much and i really miss you!! i will try to put pictures on but if i don't I'm sorry!
Love Sorella Paula Felice!!
